It is classified as a muscle meat and should ideally constitute around 20% of your dog’s diet. Tripe comes from the stomach of plant-eating animals such as cows, deer, sheep etc. This particular tripe is lamb tripe and is not minced. The tripe still contains much of the nutritious content from the fermented plant matter in their stomach including probiotics with anti-inflammatory properties, enzymes to aid digestion, amino acids to help muscles and gastric juices which help clean teeth.
