Possum Chunks
Meaty wild possum chunks include plenty of high protein possum meat (70-80% meat) along with the benefit of calcium-packed bones. Possum meat contains the highest concentration of Omega 3 essential fatty acid of any protein source besides fish and aids the healthy functioning of the heart, skin and coat. Wild possum bones are a great source of calcium to keep bones and teeth strong, plus the tearing/chewing motion and production of gastric juices help reduce tartar build up on teeth. The bones are relatively soft, so easy for dogs to crunch and digest. Additionally, you can also pat yourselves on the back, knowing that your purchase is helping to eradicate the possum pest problem in New Zealand where they destroy an estimated 20,000 tonnes of foliage per night!
Duck Mince
Duck is a high protein meat with similar nutritional benefits to red meat (e.g good source of iron), but less saturated fat content. It is a very good source of Selenium, an important antioxidant that can help prevent cell damage and fight inflammation, both of which support the body’s immune system.
Lamb Tripe Minced Green Unwashed
Tripe may look and smell awful, but it is one of the most nutritious raw foods you can give your dog. It is classified as a muscle meat and should ideally constitute around 20% of your dog’s diet. Tripe comes from the stomach of plant-eating animals such as cows, deer, sheep etc. This particular tripe is from cows. The tripe still contains much of the nutritious content from the fermented plant matter in their stomach including probiotics with anti-inflammatory properties, enzymes to aid digestion, amino acids to help muscles and gastric juices which help clean teeth. If feeding bones, always combine with Tripe. Additionally, it is a great source of fibre, plus contains minerals such as iron, zinc, potassium and selenium. Tripe is also a “white” meat and is good for dogs with sensitive digestive tracts or food allergies.
Chicken Necks
These skinless chicken necks are great for cats and smaller dogs, aiding good dental health plus providing a lot of nutritional value of chicken. They provide the essential minerals calcium and phosphorus for healthy teeth and strong bones plus are a good source of B 3 (Niacin) and B6 (Pyridoxine) which are vital to the healthy functioning of the digestive, immune and nervous systems plus the skin and coat. The meat to bone ratio is approx 60:40.
Veal Brisket
Veal bones are relatively soft, with a honeycomb structure aiding digestion. They are full essential minerals calcium and phosphorus for healthy teeth and strong bones. The gnawing/ chewing action helps clean the teeth and gums, preventing tartar build up, plus generating gastric juices for better digestion and exercising the jaw, neck and shoulder muscles. They also contain plenty of veal meat, proving rich protein and vitamins, in particular B3 which promotes a healthy immune and digestive system.
Lamb Liver Diced
Liver is classified as offal and is a fantastic food source for dogs and cats with more nutrients, gram for gram than any other food type. Because it is so nutrient dense, it should only ever constitute a maximum of 5% of their diet. It contains the best natural source of vitamin A, which cats have a special requirement for as they cannot get this from plant matter. Vitamin A is essential for vision, bone and muscle growth and reproduction. It is also one of the best sources of the amino acid Taurine, which unlike dogs, cats are unable to manufacture and must source from protein. Taurine is vital for the healthy functioning of the eyes and heart. Liver is also a good source of vitamins D, E, K and C, plus all the B group in particular vitamin B12, which helps prevent anaemia, protects the nervous system and aids digestion. Liver is good for dogs and cats who may be constipated. It is also rich in the minerals iron, zinc, manganese and selenium plus is a great source of the essential fatty acids Omega 3 and 6.
Doggy Daily Superfood Boost
As carnivores dogs and cats get their nutritional requirements from a balanced raw diet. However modern farming practices and global environmental pollution can mean some soils are at times deficient in important trace minerals. This in turn can impact the nutritional value of the animal protein .
As with our own diet, it good every now and again to have a boost of some superfoods which will provide a supply of these trace minerals.
Doggy Daily is a powdered booster made up from a host of ‘natural super foods’ such as Brazil Nuts (selenium source which aids healthy thyroid gland and immune system), Hemp Seed Powder ( good Omega 3 source to help reduce inflammation and support healthy joints), Turmeric (contains curcumin which supports healthy liver, gut, immune, brain, joint and skin function) and many more. It is also packed with vitamins in particular B12 (aids the nervous system) and also thiamine (B1) which cats need in abundance. It is one of the best sources for the mineral selenium which helps protect the immune system. As it is so nutrient dense, Heart should only constitute around 10% of their overall diet. It is not classified as offal (secreting organs) for pet food, so the 10% is in additional to 10% maximum of offal.

Brodie’s has made changing over to a raw diet for our boy Volka the easiest transition! Volka had been turning up his food for days but as soon as we changed him over to a raw diet he’s been so good! The service is amazing and it was the best decision for us!
Roko received his Beginners Bags today and already, I am SO impressed. You can see EXACTLY what your dog is eating which is something you don’t get with well known kibble brands. Love it!
He’s been loving his raw food. And so have I! Such a breeze having them in their daily portion sized baggies. Not to mention the difference in his poops vs what they were while he was on kibble! Awesome!
Absolutely love the service and food provided by Brodie's! The Beginner's Bags were a great way to transition him into Raw food. His fur is so soft and shiny, breath doesn't smell as much and his stools have been firmer and smaller! Thanks a bunch for your amazing service Anne-Marie!
