It is a high protein, lean meat with good levels of iron (higher than beef), plus the B group Vitamins (in particular Thiamin, B1). All of these promote energy release and muscle development and B1 is especially beneficial for the healthy functioning of the heart and nervous system. Glucosamine and chondroitin are also found in good supply in wild venison, promoting cartilage nourishment and long-term joint health.
