Lamb Bone Broth 350mls
Bone broth is a super food for dogs and cats, perfect as a hydrating, nutritional boost, and especially good for helping to maintain (and restore) a healthy gut and joints. It is a very easy to digest, bioavailable source of protein and minerals so is a great addition to any diet (including dry kibble), especially if the pet has been unwell and is struggling to digest other food.
Here are a few key benefits:
- Helps repair leaky guts as contains gelatin (form of collagen) which can form a mucus barrier, plus glycine and glutamine which keeps the gut lining healthy. Leaky gut (where undigested food, toxins etc pass into the body) can contribute to a lot of issues such as ear and skin infections, autoimmune conditions, UTIs, inflammatory bowel disease etc.
- Helps lubricate, cushion and protect cartilage and joints, plus support healthy intestinal lining, skin and coat as contains chondroitin, glucosamine and hyaluronic acid.
- Improves liver function and wound healing abilities as it contains glycine.
The broth is made from bones from grass fed New Zealand lamb, plus organic apple cider vinegar.
Use approx 50mls – 100mls per day for cats and small dogs (under 12kg), 100 – 150mls for medium dogs ( 12-25kg) and approx 150 to 200mls/day for large dogs 25kg and above.
Lamb Brisket
Lamb brisket is a relatively soft bone surrounded by 80% meat and fat (quite high fat content of approx 30%). The pieces range from approx 150 to 400gms so are suitable for medium to large dogs. Lamb is a rich source of the vitamin B group and in particular, Vitamin B12 which helps prevent anaemia, protects the nervous system and aids digestion. It is also a good source of zinc, a mineral that is vital to the healthy functioning of the immune system. Zinc also helps the animals stabilise their blood sugar levels and is necessary for an optimal sense of smell. Vitamin K is found in higher levels in Lamb than most other meats which are necessary for the production of blood-clotting proteins. Chewing the brisket aids good dental health and digestion. The meat to bone ratio on frames is approx 80:20 .
Lamb Heart Diced
Lamb Heart is a very complete protein and is filled with a number of B vitamins, omega-3 fatty acids and beneficial minerals, including iron, phosphorus, magnesium and selenium. Heart is a good source of the essential amino acid Taurine, vital for the healthy functioning of the eyes and heart. It is also packed with vitamins in particular B12 (aids the nervous system) and also thiamine (B1) which cats need in abundance. It is one of the best sources for the mineral selenium which helps protect the immune system. As it is so nutrient dense, Heart should only constitute around 10% of their overall diet. It is not classified as offal (secreting organs) for pet food, so the 10% is in additional to 10% maximum of offal.
Lamb Liver Diced
Liver is classified as offal and is a fantastic food source for dogs and cats with more nutrients, gram for gram than any other food type. Because it is so nutrient dense, it should only ever constitute a maximum of 5% of their diet. It contains the best natural source of vitamin A, which cats have a special requirement for as they cannot get this from plant matter. Vitamin A is essential for vision, bone and muscle growth and reproduction. It is also one of the best sources of the amino acid Taurine, which unlike dogs, cats are unable to manufacture and must source from protein. Taurine is vital for the healthy functioning of the eyes and heart. Liver is also a good source of vitamins D, E, K and C, plus all the B group in particular vitamin B12, which helps prevent anaemia, protects the nervous system and aids digestion. Liver is good for dogs and cats who may be constipated. It is also rich in the minerals iron, zinc, manganese and selenium plus is a great source of the essential fatty acids Omega 3 and 6.
Lamb Tripe Minced Green Unwashed
Tripe may look and smell awful, but it is one of the most nutritious raw foods you can give your dog. It is classified as a muscle meat and should ideally constitute around 20% of your dog’s diet. Tripe comes from the stomach of plant-eating animals such as cows, deer, sheep etc. This particular tripe is from cows. The tripe still contains much of the nutritious content from the fermented plant matter in their stomach including probiotics with anti-inflammatory properties, enzymes to aid digestion, amino acids to help muscles and gastric juices which help clean teeth. If feeding bones, always combine with Tripe. Additionally, it is a great source of fibre, plus contains minerals such as iron, zinc, potassium and selenium. Tripe is also a “white” meat and is good for dogs with sensitive digestive tracts or food allergies.

Brodie’s has made changing over to a raw diet for our boy Volka the easiest transition! Volka had been turning up his food for days but as soon as we changed him over to a raw diet he’s been so good! The service is amazing and it was the best decision for us!
Roko received his Beginners Bags today and already, I am SO impressed. You can see EXACTLY what your dog is eating which is something you don’t get with well known kibble brands. Love it!
He’s been loving his raw food. And so have I! Such a breeze having them in their daily portion sized baggies. Not to mention the difference in his poops vs what they were while he was on kibble! Awesome!
Absolutely love the service and food provided by Brodie's! The Beginner's Bags were a great way to transition him into Raw food. His fur is so soft and shiny, breath doesn't smell as much and his stools have been firmer and smaller! Thanks a bunch for your amazing service Anne-Marie!
