Puppy Low Allergen Weekly Meal Bag
We have made things very simple for you with seven handy daily bags, each with the right amount of food for your puppy’s age and weight. The daily volume in the bags is based on a percentage of bodyweight. As puppies are growing rapidly they need to be on a much higher percentage of body weight than adult dogs. Please therefore complete the Pet Profile for tailored recommendations on the daily amount your puppy will need.Â
The Low Allergen Weekly Meal Bags do not contain any chicken or beef/veal products so are ideal for puppies who may have developed an intolerance/ allergic reaction to chicken or beef products. Symptoms for food intolerances/ allergies can be very varied, but most commonly exhibit as excessive itching/ licking, recurrent skin /ear infections, diarrhoea and vomiting.
The menu has a good spread of macro and micro nutrients and we have adjusted the fat and calcium levels as appropriate for puppies. The menu includes our Wildlife Venison Meal which has added natural supplements such as green-lipped mussels, kelp, coconut oil etc which are all good for growing limbs. All the meat blocks are individually weighed so you can be sure your puppy is getting the right amount each day.
You can choose if you would like the menu packed in handy daily bags or bulk packed to save money. If choosing the Bulk packed option please complete the Pet Profile to receive menu instructions. With the daily bags, defrost and divide them into two meals (3 if younger than 6 months).
Possum Chunks
Meaty wild possum chunks include plenty of high protein possum meat (70-80% meat) along with the benefit of calcium-packed bones. Possum meat contains the highest concentration of Omega 3 essential fatty acid of any protein source besides fish and aids the healthy functioning of the heart, skin and coat. Wild possum bones are a great source of calcium to keep bones and teeth strong, plus the tearing/chewing motion and production of gastric juices help reduce tartar build up on teeth. The bones are relatively soft, so easy for dogs to crunch and digest. Additionally, you can also pat yourselves on the back, knowing that your purchase is helping to eradicate the possum pest problem in New Zealand where they destroy an estimated 20,000 tonnes of foliage per night!

Dogs Reduced Allergen Beginner’s Bags (4 Week Supply)
The Reduced-Allergen Beginner’s Bags do not contain any beef or veal products so are ideal for dogs who have developed an intolerance/ allergic reaction to beef products. Symptoms for food intolerances/ allergies can be very varied, but most commonly exhibit as excessive itching/ licking, recurrent skin /ear infections, diarrhoea and vomiting.
Brodie’s Beginner’s Bags contains a 4 week meal plan to help your dog smoothly transition to a raw diet. (The box contains 28 meal bags, all coded by day and week, with the amount based on your dog’s weight. We recommend you split the daily meal bag into 2 meals, morning and night, however, it is fine to feed as one meal if that is the usual routine. The plan starts with a plain, easily digest meat such as free-range, organic chicken and tripe, gradually introduces new proteins such as wild goat and salmon, with the 4th week representing the full, prey model diet of 60% meat, 20% tripe, 10% meaty bones and 10% offal.
To properly digest raw meat and bones, the stomach needs acidity in the stomach (low PH of approx 1-2). It is therefore important to stop feeding dry biscuits as the carbohydrates in these promote higher PH levels inhibiting the digestion of raw food plus making the dog vulnerable to pathogenic bacteria which high acidity levels are able to control.

Essential fatty acids, in particular Omega 3 are found the kelp and green lipped mussels and the coconut and sunflower oils, which in addition to promoting healthy skin and a shiny coat possess anti-inflammatory properties to help prevent or reduce joint pain.
Chicken & Salmon
Chicken is a high protein, nutritious food for dogs and cats, providing a good source of vitamin B 3 (Niacin) and B6 (Pyridoxine). Niacin plays a key role in converting food to energy and is vital to the healthy functioning of digestive and nervous systems plus the skin and coat. B6 aids the creation of antibodies in the immune system. Chicken is a key source of the Omega 6 fatty acid, arachidonic acid, vital for skeletal muscle growth and brain development.
Combining the chicken with a key Omega 3 like salmon ensures a good balance of these two vital fatty acids. With its anti-inflammatory properties, maintaining good levels of Omega 3 in the diet of dogs and cats is important for the well-being of the immune system, plus promoting a healthy skin and coat and preventing inflammation in joints. Salmon also provides a good supply of thiamine (B1) which cats need a plentiful supply (5 times more than dogs) and also the amino acid Taurine, which is essential to cats for the health of their eyes and heart in particular. unlike dogs, cats cannot produce taurine themselves.

Brodie’s has made changing over to a raw diet for our boy Volka the easiest transition! Volka had been turning up his food for days but as soon as we changed him over to a raw diet he’s been so good! The service is amazing and it was the best decision for us!
Roko received his Beginners Bags today and already, I am SO impressed. You can see EXACTLY what your dog is eating which is something you don’t get with well known kibble brands. Love it!
He’s been loving his raw food. And so have I! Such a breeze having them in their daily portion sized baggies. Not to mention the difference in his poops vs what they were while he was on kibble! Awesome!
Absolutely love the service and food provided by Brodie's! The Beginner's Bags were a great way to transition him into Raw food. His fur is so soft and shiny, breath doesn't smell as much and his stools have been firmer and smaller! Thanks a bunch for your amazing service Anne-Marie!
